Superfoods for Weight Loss!

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing the benefits of some of the wonderful natural “Superfoods” that can really assist you in your weight loss!

A few weeks ago, on a gorgeous sunny Perth winters day, a few of us went to the Swan Valley, one of the our wine regions, for a picnic lunch.
On the way we stopped at “The House of Honey” and enjoyed a delicious honey tasting.
I bought some Bee Pollen as I consider it to be one of the an amazing “Superfoods” and my supply at home was running low.
I picked up a brochure and will share, with you, some of the benefits that were written in it.
Bees gather pollen by coming into contact with the stamens of flowers. The pollen grains stick to the bees body hair, they then scrape and pack the pollen grains into their “pollen baskets” which are located on their legs. Bee pollen is a high natural source of protein.

Bee pollen has been shown to help people;
Lose weight
Increase energy, vitality and stamina
Enhance the immune system
Relieve allergy and asthma symptoms
Improve sexual function
Correct digestion problems
Slow the ageing process
Prevent cancer and other diseases

How to Eat Bee Pollen
Pollen contains nearly all the nutrients required by the human body.
It is super nutritious and is a quick and easy way to add servings to your diet(1-2 teaspoons is equivalent to a hearty serve of vegetables)
Start with 1 teaspoon in the morning increasing your intake every day by a few grains until reaching 2 teaspoons a day(10 ml).
I love to add pollen to my green smoothie or you can add it to your oats or musesli and a delicious and natural sweetener.

Pollen Warning
If you are allergic to bee products or suffer with Asthma, do not consume bee pollen. Please consult your doctor if in doubt of the suitability of this or any other products that I may discuss on my website.
