It’s well known that sunshine is essential for the absorption of Vitamin D due to its synthesis in the skin when exposed to sunlight. While its role in bone health is well-known, a bunch of further health benefits are associated with maintaining adequate levels of this vital nutrient.

As well as having a pivotal role in calcium absorption and bone metabolism, Vitamin D is crucial for maintaining optimal bone density, which reduces the risk of fractures and osteoporosis.
